Welcome to The Longhouse – this adults-only retreat is the second bespoke creation from A Little Bit of Rough.

Comprising of four handcrafted cabins that are linked together to offer something truly unique.

Guests will approach The Longhouse along a tree-lined corridor that opens up to a private corner of the woodland with its very own waterfront (Please note, this isn’t a wild swimming pond).

As you step inside the interior design exudes our distinctive stamp, featuring reclaimed wood panelling, bespoke artwork, and carefully selected furniture. Every corner of this accommodation is a testament to our commitment to providing an experience that is unparalleled and entirely unique.

Outside: The Bathhouse & woodland sauna – Grab a bathrobe and make your way from the lodge along to decking that links the entire way around the pond to a sauna with stunning views across the pond, after stop for a cold outdoor shower to cool down (not available during winter months), make your way to the bathhouse, 2 x baths situated on a deck at the end of the pond, with views across the treetops and the rolling Rutland countryside.

The Bathhouse: Immerse yourself in the ultimate luxury of outdoor bathing, 2 x baths situated on a deck at the end of the pond, with incredible treetop views…..and of course a sparkly glitter ball!

Sauna: Unwind in the sauna at The Longhouse, offering breathtaking views over the tranquil pond and treetops—a serene escape nestled in the heart of the woodland

Two King-sized Bedrooms with En-suite Bathrooms: Indulge in comfort with two king-sized bedrooms, each boasting its own en-suite bathroom featuring a shower, toilet, and basin – c/w bed linen & towels.

Fully Fitted Kitchen: The Longhouse features a fully equipped kitchen, providing all the conveniences of home. .

South-Facing Elevated Front Deck: The front deck, cantilevered over the pond, basks in the southern sun, creating an ideal spot for alfresco dining.

Central Heating: October – April. Stay warm and cozy with central heating, ensuring comfort even on cooler evenings.

Please note that The Longhouse is a stand alone property and cannot be booked in conjunction with our Canvas Lodges or The Rocket Lodge.

Due to the means of Fire Escape via the ground floor bedroom and bathroom windows, this property would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
