Follow the woodland path past the wildlife pond and across the bridge to discover your secluded retreat, complete with elevated deck, private outdoor bathing area and endless opportunities to reconnect with nature.

At the heart of the lodge is a traditional wood-burning stove, keeping Birch warm and cosy whatever the season. Whether you’re cooking breakfast slowly in the morning, warming up after woodland walks or settling in for relaxed evenings together, the lodge is designed for simple, comfortable living.

Inside, Birch sleeps up to six guests (max. 4 x adults) and features:

  • A king-size master bedroom
  • A twin bedroom
  • Bespoke cabin beds children will love

The fully equipped kitchen includes everything needed for relaxed family meals, alongside a fridge/freezer to keep drinks chilled and treats ready for sunny afternoons on the deck.

The private bathroom features a beautiful slipper bath with shower mixer, luxury toiletries and hot water on demand.

But what makes Birch truly special is its private rear deck, where two outdoor slipper baths sit side by side amongst the trees — perfect for slow mornings, peaceful evenings and soaking beneath Rutland’s dark, star-filled skies.

Outside you’ll also find:

As the sun sets, listen for owls calling through the woodland, watch bats dart overhead and keep an eye out for deer quietly wandering between the trees.

Although wonderfully off-grid (no power outlets), Birch still includes modern comforts including solar-powered charging points, lighting throughout and everything needed for a relaxed and comfortable stay.

LUXURY LODGES

Our luxurious canvas lodges each sleep up to 6 guests (4 x adults max) . The lodges comprise of a King Bedroom, a Twin Bedroom and our unique Cabin Bed - every child's favourite bed!

EN-SUITE BATHROOM

Each canvas lodge has its own en-suite bathroom with roll top bath and wash basin, and a separate toilet room located to the side of the lodge next to the bathroom.

WOOD BURNER

At the heart of the lodge is our wood burning stove: it will keep the lodge warm in all weathers, and provides a means of cooking.

COOKING FACILITIES

We do also provide a small gas ring so that you can enjoy that all important cup of coffee, or tea without having to light the stove. Each lodge has its own BBQ area.

KITCHEN FACILITIES

The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and glassware. There is also a fridge/freezer. The dining area has a 6 seater dining table and benches.

SIT BACK & RELAX

The lounge area has a large 3 seater leather sofa and chair, with stunning views of the countryside when the main doors are clipped back.

DECKED OUT

The Large deck area at the front of the lodge has a dining table for 6, so you can dine al fresco. There are also 2 x lounge chairs to sit back and enjoy the beautiful views over the rolling Rutland countryside.

SPINDLEBERRY STARS

We are very lucky not to have any major towns or cities creating light pollution in the county of Rutland, so star gazing at Spindleberry Woods is absolutely amazing.
