Enjoy a magical family holiday making wonderful memories in either one of four canvas lodges or The Rocket Lodge, as seen on TV

Our woodland is the perfect place for families. Play some of our woodland games, take a wooded walk or take time to sit back and relax whilst children can play safely in the meadow surrounding your accommodation.

You can enjoy an evening round the campfire whilst cooking pizza in our outdoor wood-fired ovens.

Rutland may be the UK’s smallest County, but it is packed with things to do during your stay, catering for all interests with the benefit of never being far away.

We welcome either 2 or 4 x families wishing to holiday together in 2 or 4 x canvas lodges. (Ash & Birch or Birch & Willow are adjacent to each other).

We regret that we can not permit a booking of 3 x canvas lodges to be booked together, as it would not be fair on guests staying in the 4th canvas lodge.

Please note The Rocket Lodge is not available to book in conjunction with our canvas lodges.

A Little Bit of Rough is the perfect destination to celebrate an anniversary, enjoy a honeymoon or even propose!! 

Relax and take in the sunsets or a spot of woodland bathing, we have lodges with either a wood-fired hot tub or private outdoor baths for two – perfect for evenings spent gazing at the stars.

Receive a 20% ‘Low Occupancy’ discount on the price of a Canvas Lodge or The Rocket Lodge when booking a 3+ night mid-week or weekend stay during 2024

This offer can be extended to include 1 x baby or toddler in travel cot (add child’s details in ‘Comments’ section on booking)

The discount will be automatically applied when placing a booking

Please note: If you are looking to make an All Adult booking some restrictions apply, due to the nature of our accommodation and the peaceful setting that we wish to maintain for all guests staying.

All Adult bookings are limited to a maximum of four adults in one lodge – multiple lodge bookings are not accepted unless approved in advance of placing a booking – email info@alittlebitofrough.co.uk 

During the school holidays we do not take any large adult only bookings.

Minimum booking age is 30, we will consider younger bookings but they must be agreed in advance with the owners before any booking commences

Pickled Events, are two friends with a passion for all things foodie!

They can help make your stay at ‘A Little Bit Of Rough’ that extra bit special by offering their bespoke Grazing Boards.

The boards will be hand-delivered with a bespoke menu, all you need to do is lay out and enjoy straight away!
